East Coast SUP Tours
Volunteering Paddle Boarding Sessions in aid of Bereaved Families
East Coast Sup Tours aims to contribute to societal goals of a philanthropic or charitable nature by volunteering for ethically-oriented practices. Our new strategic initiative contributes to our brand's reputation and we aim to help families who have experienced child loss and bereavement through paddle boarding therapy sessions in 2022.
Our Story
Loss & Bereavement
In 2016 one of our daughters - Sydnee passed away at 15 years old from a long term battle with illness and since then my family, I and my partner have suffered from grief and mental health issues. We spent many years in and out of children's hospitals and fully understand the pressures on parents, siblings and family. In the past we have raised thousands for the sick children's trust, local hospitals and GOSH.
Paddle Boarding Therapy
Finding Peace Through Paddle Boarding
In 2017 I discovered paddle boarding and found the experience to be an amazing way of relieving stress and helping me cope with grief. I'm now a qualified ASI Paddle Boarding Instructor and passionate about helping others to experience the tranquility and mental benefits of paddle boarding - especially anyone who has experienced child loss, mental health issues or PTSD.
Crowd Funding
Raising Funds for Equipment
East Coast Sup Tours are planning on hosting monthly 2hr guided paddle boarding sessions in 2022 on the Norfolk broads for individuals, couples and families that have experienced loss. Our coaching sessions have been designed to help relieve stress and motivate individuals by delivering an engaging, fun and physical experience that gets you back to nature, back on your feet and makes you feel alive again.
We are trying to raise funds as part of our CSR mission to purchase new premium paddle boards and associated equipment so that we can help families in need and offer them an experience that helps relieve grief and pulls them up when they most need it.
I am looking for corporate partners to help support us. If your organisation can help support us with equipment or funding, please contact me at lee.woodrow@eastcoastsup.co.uk or donate using the button below.
